My Story

In my fourth grade year book, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I wrote "pediatrician". Turns out, fourth-grade me knew what she was talking about.

My path to medicine began in nursing and eventually led me to medical school, Pediatrics and Allergy & Immunology. Along the way, I learned that great medical care requires more than understanding the science- it requires listening, collaboration, compassion, and getting to know the child and family in front of you. 

Over the past several years, I have focused much of my clinical and research work on children with food allergies. I've seen how much food allergy can affect everyday life- from birthday parties and school lunches- to travel, anxiety and simply sharing a meal as a family

Why I Created Food Allergy Wellness Network

Food allergy care has changed tremendously. We now have more ways to accurately diagnose food allergy, better understand individual risk, and offer treatments that were not available to families even a few years ago.

But doing this well takes time. 

I created Food Allergy Wellness Network to provide the kind of care I believe families deserve: time to understand your child's story, thoughtfully evaluate their allergies, discuss the options available to them and make decisions together based on what matters most to your family. 

Whether your goal is greater protection from an accidental exposure, more freedom around food, or simply feeling more confident managing your child's allergies, my hope is that you know knowing you have a plan- and that you don't have to navigate food allergy alone.
